I have a heatmor water stove that I'll be cutting firewood for.There are nice saws (from Silky and probably others) that are good for 20' worth of reach that, I would think, would cut a lot faster than a chainsaw chain tied to a rope. Jan 27, 2012. #2. how could you not be happy with this. there are others that have modified it and so on but all in all i think most are happy with it. so far i think the chain stays sharp a little longer because it sharpens without leaveing any burs.I muffler modded my new CS-4910 before it even saw wood for the first time. Two screws to remove the deflector and spark arrestor screen and pulled the baffle tube out of the muffler. Echo makes a good saw as well, believe the 4910 is still available but that saw really needs muffler work to realize it’s full potential. The echos are hard to beat for the price. Not the fastest but dead reliable and easy starting. The 592 is lighter and has noticeably more power than the 395 or the 660. It seems to use considerably less fuel than either my 395 or 660. One thing I did like was the power curve is flatter than my 572. The 572 is a screamer and doesn't have much lugging power, but the 592 has power in the midrange and high range.Have conversations with others that enjoy talking about chainsaws, trees, logging, milling, carving and anything else you can think of that has to do with trees.
