Advantages are that you get more guilds, more people in cities and trade chat, and a healthy economy (though that is not faction-specific). Khaz'goroth has people on it but the chances of finding anyone to do Mythic raiding with on either faction are absolutely non-existent. I hate having to explain to a new player why the vast majority of the people they are interacting with are not people they can join a guild with, or aren’t even on their server.
